Our Story
Retro Nights was born from a simple yet powerful idea: that true integration begins with understanding. Our journey started not on a stage, but in a living room, sparked by conversations within Platform Against Racism in Ireland (PARI). We recognized that while we were fighting against a common issue, the Indian community itself often remained fragmented. People from the North and South of India, with their unique cultures and traditions, tended to stick to their own circles.

Forget passive karaoke; this is an interactive musical showdown! Four vibrant teams, each with star hosts, battle it out through pre-planned playlists featuring Bollywood, Mollywood, Western pop, and more. The music is live – no tracks here – and we encourage you to bring your own instruments and join the jam! Expect a dose of fun, music-themed pub quiz rounds, all while you embrace the legendary Irish craic and connect with a fantastic community. Pick your team and sing your heart out!
What to Expect at Retro Nights:
1.Your Voice, Your Stage: This isn't just a karaoke night—it's a curated sing-along led by our energetic hosts. We'll be belting out hits from Bollywood classics to South Indian blockbusters (in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu), alongside chart-topping English anthems and beloved Irish pub songs.2.Feel-Good Atmosphere: Imagine a bustling pub, your favourite drink in hand, surrounded by friends (new and old) as everyone sings their hearts out. It’s a night designed for pure joy, connection, and unforgettable memories.3.Live Music & Crowd Jamming: While our hosts lead the way, we encourage you to join in with instruments if you're musically inclined! Expect guitars, cajons, and maybe even a tabla to fuel the vibe.4.Delicious Indian Bites & Drinks: Complementing the fantastic music, indulge in a selection of authentic Indian food and a full bar to keep the good times rolling.5.A Community That Cares: Retro Nights is more than just a party. It's a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to fostering integration within the Indian community and with Irish society. A significant portion of every ticket sold goes directly to support individuals facing racist attacks and issues in Ireland.
